Ashley Ave.'s Magical Single, "Mirror Mirror" Calls For Self Reflection
"Loving what you see in the mirror aint always easy"
"Mirror Mirror on the wall who's the fairest of them all?"
Sound familiar? These aren’t just sayings from a Disney Movie, but these are the lyrics to Ashley Ave.’s new single “Mirror”. She inspires the world to turn tragedy to triumph in this latest entry to her ever growing catalogue. This records strips down the big theatrical churchy sound that we heard from her previous release (Thank God) and gives her new acoustic pop sound with the main driving instrument being a guitar. Although the track has pop elements in it, she manages to maintain a soulful performance vocally, giving a sense of vulnerability as she is "learning to love her reflection." She teams up with her frequent collaborators: Blac Elvis (Producer of Ego- Beyoncé, Glamorous - Fergie which recently led to a billboard hot 100 chart topping single with Jack Harlow (First Class) and Felly the Voice (#1 record with fellow Memphis Songstress K. Michelle (Scooch).
She starts off the song with lyrics that immediately draw in the listener, "Sex symbol, she must be a nympho". Throughout the song she compares the modern broken girl to Cinderella and describes how turns in life can kill dreams.
In a press statement, Ashley added:
"This song may not be meant for everybody, but its definitely meant for somebody.
